Coronavirus Update 26 May 2020 from Jane Feeney
I am preparing to open the clinic again on Tuesday 2 June 2020 on a strict and limited basis.
Strict hygeine and distancing procedures which will be in force for possibly the next 6 months.
This will be a staged process as we will be still offering appointments via Zoom and telephone. We are working to provide the choice and alternatives to suit each client's need or preference.
There will only be one therapist working on any one day, the room is large enough for 2 metre distancing and the chairs will be changed after each client. There will be at lease a 30 minute gap between each client.
The therapist will be waiting in reception and will let you into the building so that you do not have to touch the entry system. The doors will be open into the clinic and the consulting room. The client will be invited to walk into the room first, at a safe distance, the therapist will follow and close the doors behind. This is so that each client will not have to touch the doors. The reverse will happen on the way out.
We are catorgarised as medical under the Mental Health banner and are keen to provide a service to all our clients, particularly those who are vulnerable or have been very afffected by the COVID-19 health crisis.
Please be aware of the following health and safety requiements:
Please make sure that you;
*are fit and physically healthy
*have not travelled abroad or have not been in contact with others who have travelled abroad
*are not living with others identified as 'at risk'
*are not living with others who are unwell.
*have not used public transport to get to us
I am also monitoring closely my own health and the health of my colleagues.
* We will ask that every client uses the hand santiser when they arrive, even if they inform us that they have already used hand sanitiser.
*All therapists are washing their hands on arrival and after each client.
* We are maintaing a safe distance between ourselves and clients in line with NHS advice.
* Before and after each client, we are cleaning all surfaces, prioritising hand contact areas, such as door handles, door frames and tables both inside our offices and in the public areas of the building.
*We are extra vigilent in the using and disposing of tissues after every client, tying bin bags and disposing of them in the outside bins.
Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our clients and ourselves, and each other. We urge everyone to follow the latest advice from Public Health England, the NHS and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Finally, if you have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 or have been in contact with another who has symptoms. Please DO NOT attend The Practice but contact us so we can think about alternative arrangements.
Thanking everyone, clients and professionals who have been so mindful and supportive during this health crisis.
